Group project

The Archaeological Site of the High Purity Palace is located in Shangqing Town, Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province, within the buffer zone of the China World Heritage Longhu Mountain. It was the highest administrative institution for Taoism during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The archaeological site was the "Top Ten New Archaeological Discoveries in the Country in 2017" and the largest, highest-level Taoist relics in China. The Protective Shelter is Silver Design Award winner in 2023 A' Design Award and Competition of Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award Category.

The design of the protective facilities is based on preservation of the Palace ruins, taking into account the exhibition and religion needs of the palace. The exhibition gallery of ruins is set up on the east road, and the unearthed cultural relics exhibition hall is set up on the west road, effectively protecting the ruins itself. Under the premise of preservation, we provide diversified ruins display space and Taoist ritual display space to better explain the history, art, science, social and cultural value of the Taoism.
